It's not only that, but here in Australia - I only saw it sometime ago that there is this other new type of technology that they are calling ( laser... something forgot the other word. If there are any Aussies out there who might be able to recall... ) which states that it actually looks far better than any Plasma or LCD in true HD format can ever offer in any size and it's actually as cheap or even cheaper to produce...
We all know this is'nt gonna end right?, right. But to every fanboys/gals out there who are going to read this - You all know as well as we do that this is the reality... There's nothing wrong by being who you are and what you believe in, but the thing is the nobody likes to be imposed upon - especially extremely imposed upon. No matter what everybody says - whether it's got good graphics and all... Nascar as a whole and a game is truly boring. The actual cars don't even look good. There's nothing to like about this series... going 'round and 'round to watch who cracks first and makes a big crash.
It's quite complicated, They got the console to brag about - but still not enough games. So the average buyer says " What for?! " - They said " We'ved got a lot of Blu-Ray movie titles for sale, why don't you buy that for now? The games are coming-out very soon! " Us average buyer says " Bloody Hell, We did'nt spend a thousand bucks ( thats the equivalent value in Australian dollars ) on a stupid dvd player, we got that already!! Then we'll just have to wait some more...
To start of why seven?, when only one answer says it all. { PRICE } - PLAIN AND SIMPLE ( NOT SEVEN WAYS, JUST ONE AND IT'S ENOUGH )
It's plain and simple - the DVD after HD, every consumer knows it, ( familiarity ). To those who are not tech savvy, they would'nt have any clue about what Blu-Ray means ( a very catchy word but then it also sounds like a very big fish or something... ).
Hope this will be true, and yes if they can include a new version of Fatal Frame - another really good horror title...
We'ved seen this one a few times already and in video... Most of this article is for GT-HD ( which will probably be added-on for GT5, thus it's included ), the ones which are the actual GT5 screens - their still working that on the computer desktop ( 4 different camera views { in-car included! } ) plus the addition of the all important ( realistic ) damage mode - sure hope they deliver the goods on this one! And another thing, they're also saying that advanced weather simulation ( ala PGR4 ) ...
What's next... What about GTR2 - a PC game, coming-out on the XBox360 soon. One of the most underrated/underpublicized racing-simulation title. We're all talking about Forza2, PGR4, GT-HD, Motorstorm, DIRT: Colin McRae really good and true but have forgotten about this title - a LeMans based race which looks and sounds tops. There's also Juiced2 another very good modding/racing game... and a few others, so it's not really a question of any great racing games but being spoilt by too many of th...
If Sony/Polyphony does make all this happen, especially the all important: { 1 } ( realistic ) car damege!, { 2 } in-car camera shots - and there are 4 views, this will be the tops!!, { 3 } dynamic weather - ala PGR4 but by then it would have truly improved on the GT5!!! { 4 } Others like more tracks - a given, and more cars ( to be confirmed - expensive name brands ) - also a given. What's Sony got to worry about? Now that they have more games that would be released soon, just concentrate on one or a few titles which they believe should make the public stand-up and give a second look... I love my XBox360, and still am waiting to buy a PS3 { when the time's right - reasonable costs, more titles ( very soon ), force feedback ( settled ), others like - better, cheaper to produce chipset, probably more extras ( 80gb as standard like in Korea ) etc... } We know Halo is one of...

Now that slowly but surely, Sony's pulling back their act together it's ( almost, but not yet... ) time to buy a PS3. Once everything's in place ( hopefully sooner ) - a more reasonable price, more games ( than Blu-Ray movies ) yes at last they are showing more ( and they are really impressive! ), the return of force-feedback ( settled! ), lastly hope Sony ( change/fire! ) all those stupid marketing/advertising people that have ruined and given a lot misquoted/misrepresented statistical figur...
The really really next-gen would look like those CGI movies - Spiderman's, XMen's etc...
If Microsoft can slash their prices sooner, why can't Sony? Or could it be that those higher-ups in management/marketing has'nt had their fat bonuses yet to recuperate the costs incurred by the PS3?
I knew the XBox360 control pad was the best, but here's the thing I actually prefer the Nintendo64 over the PS2 for 2nd place. The 64's ergonomics and functionality was far better than Sony's.
